the deteriorating blackjack rules aren't encouraging either. What I don't like is, much like Mystic Lake, their penny slots are like a buzz saw that hacks through your bankroll before you know what hit you. I like Treasure Island because of it's size, selection and overall -feel. I love Island Bingo, always enjoy it and win every so often. When they advertise the 'Odds are better here', they're referring to Mystic Lake -only.

Slot selection is good - they have everything. Slots payouts are nothing special comps are pretty good, though. Treasure Island has gone from the best rules, to the WORST in recent years. The blackjack rules have gone downhill through the years. Room was VERY NICE! No complaints! Gambling, however is another thing altogether. Stayed in a suite comped from the passport card program. People are more health conscious now, and appreciated an area we could go, that didn't reek of stale smoke. Especially, since the poker tables weren't even being used that are now in that area. When a lot of the customers are older people, and many people trying to quit, this was really a bad move I think. This huge casino, which had designated only this small room, has now converted almost the entire area, to poker tables, that were not even being used! Sure there are rows of slot machines, and certain card tables where it's non-smoking, you are saved from having those who smoke right next to you, and it's going in your face, but you still go home, or back to your room, needing a shower, and a bag for your clothes that smell like an ashtray. On our recent visit to Treasure Island, my boyfriend, my son, and I, all who do not smoke, and frequently used the non-smoking room of slot machines, were very disappointed to see that over half of the slot machines were removed from the non-smoking area.
